Description

Discover golden crescent pastries concealing a rich, creamy blend of shrimp, lump crab, and Old Bay. Includes complete cooking instructions and detailed nutritional breakdown.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8-ounce) tube refrigerated seamless crescent dough or regular crescent rolls
  • 4 ounces cooked shrimp, peeled, deveined, and finely chopped
  • 4 ounces lump crab meat, well-drained and flaked
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, chopped green onions, Old Bay seasoning, chopped shrimp, and flaked crab meat. Mix until all ingredients are well combined and creamy.
  2. Step 2: Unroll the crescent dough onto a clean surface. If using regular crescent rolls, separate the dough into 8 triangles. If using seamless dough, cut it into 8 equal squares.
  3. Step 3: Place a tablespoon of the seafood filling in the center of each crescent dough triangle or square. Fold the corners of the dough over the filling and pinch the edges together firmly to seal, forming a bomb shape. Ensure no filling is exposed.
  4. Step 4: Arrange the stuffed crescent bombs seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops of each bomb with the melted unsalted butter.
  5. Step 5: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent bombs are puffed, golden brown, and cooked through. Let them cool slightly before serving warm as an appetizer.

Notes

  • Store any cooled leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days to maintain their delicious flavor and texture.
  • For best results, reheat these "bombs" in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for about 8-10 minutes, or until warmed through and the dough is slightly crisp again.
  • Serve these warm appetizers with a squeeze of fresh lemon, a sprinkle of chopped chives, or alongside a zesty cocktail sauce for an extra burst of flavor.
  • To prevent any wonderful seafood filling from escaping during baking, ensure you firmly pinch all seams and edges of the crescent dough together, creating a perfectly sealed "bomb."
